Meet The (AMAZING) TEAM
Founder
Darren Pickles
I started practice accounting back in 2012, incorporating JD4 Ltd in 2018.
Prior to that, I taught accounting at apprentice and professional level, and I was Head of Finance for a group of academy schools. My specialism is corporate tax savings and reliefs, but the bit I enjoy the most is adding value to our clients’ businesses.
Ditch the suit and I love playing guitar, sailing (sinking) and playing 8-ball pool.

Louis Potter
I started my career as an estate agent but quickly discovered a passion for numbers and decided to study my AAT qualification in my spare time.
This led me to join JD4 Accountancy, where I’ve now been for two years and continue to grow professionally. I really enjoy working closely with clients and pride myself on going the extra mile to support them, delivering an excellent service.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me planning my next ski trip or out on the slopes whenever I get the chance.

Molly Callaghan
I went straight into the accountancy field after completing my A-Levels, meaning I have several years of in-practice experience already.
I enjoy building strong relationships with clients and take pride in tailoring my services to suit their individual needs and goals. I love working with clients closely, aiming to remove the stress and uncertainty around the processes. I’m currently studying towards the ACCA qualification as part of my commitment to my professional growth.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, getting outdoors with my dogs, and maybe a cocktail (or two)!

Lee Haslehurst
I started Practice Accounting in 2022 and now look after everything from VAT returns to Full Limited Company Accounts.
Prior to this I was an Estimator at a Label and Nameplate Manufacturer.
In my spare time I run my daughters football team.

Esme White
After completing my A-Levels, I joined JD4 to undertake a Business Administration apprenticeship. Since then, I’ve progressed to Office Manager, where I focus on keeping everything running as smoothly as possible.
I spend my time supporting both the team and our clients, and take pride in creating a positive, organised, and efficient working environment. I enjoy building strong relationships with clients and helping to take some of the stress out of the process wherever I can.
Outside of work, I coach dance and cheerleading to children of all ages, as well as competing in dance myself. I’ve been lucky enough to compete twice at the Allstar World Championships in Florida! I also love staying active, getting outdoors for walks, and of course, the occasional drink and dance with friends.
